Paintings and prints by William Palluth
Artist Bill Palluth with his painting, "Racing the Storm" and a model of the ship for details. Bill loves building models, and often builds them just to get the details for his paintings. He has more than a dozen ship paintings now available in print. He was also a pilot and aeronautical engineer, which shows up in his paintings of old airplanes.
Paintings of the old ships, airplanes, and lovely scenery
Bill is the author of four Walter Foster Art Books and six videos on how to paint in oils. Several of his paintings are in museums, and one was in the collection of the late President Gerald R. Ford. It often takes the artist weeks and sometimes months to finish a painting. But the results are worth it. He thinks that art is not just a luxury, but often a necessity. A person who comes home from a hectic day can sit down and mentally walk into some of Bill's paintings and enjoy the beauty and quietness of the scene. It can do wonders.
